- I think I would declare and emergency (probably call it a hostage situation) after probably 4 hours or so, and open a door and jump down the chute. They can press charges against me later. At least I'd be off the damn plane. That is just inexcusable.

- Every passenger should know their rights. Do not fear alerting any TSA agent that you are aware of what the procedure is, and to ask that they follow it. They are required to follow it.
